Ganges Consulting is a privately owned Australian business of Cheenu and Soumya Srinivasan based in Sydney, Australia. Our clients include Westpac Banking Corporation, Dell Computers ANZ, Fonterra Brands NZ, WebMethods, Progress Software, NSW Treasury and other Government agencies.
We work with our client organisations in reviewing and crafting their business and IT strategy with a focus on value innovation and setting in place processes and systems to achieve on-going operational excellence.
Cheenu Srinivasan is a Mechanical Engineer by training with Masters degrees in both Engineering and Business Administration. He has worked in a number of sectors- Information Technology, Engineering R&D, Manufacturing, Energy, Transport and Government, including Treasury.
Cheenu has had a long association with Dr Charles Hampden-Turner and is an Associate of Polarity Management Associates of Dr Barry Johnson. He has successfully completed the Blue Ocean Strategy qualification process administered by the Blue Ocean Strategy- Initiative Centre. In keeping with his focus on a broad suite of innovation processes, Cheenu is an Associate of Professors Joe Urbany and John Davis, the architects of the Three Circles of Strategy and Per Lindstedt, the author of The Value Model.
More recently, Cheenu was one of a global team of contributors to a novel approach to business design. The book which is an outcome of what it preaches is titled Business Model Generation authored by Alex Osterwalder and fellow authors. Cheenu was also a contributor to the follow up book titled Business Model You that helps individual reinvent their careers.
Soumya Srinivasan brings both private and public sector experience in business analysis, process reviews, IT/Business Architecture and systems implementation. After graduating with a Physics Hons, Soumya worked in the banking sector in India before moving to Canada and then to Australia in June 1983 where she completed her MBA and CPA qualifications.
She brings an unique blend of skills having worked in banking, manufacturing, FMCG and public sector organizations. Soumya is an accredited reviewer of NSW Treasury's Gateway Process for IT projects. She brings hands-on and people centric skills with proven and demonstrated successful outcomes and experience in ERP and data governance besides overarching IT/Business Architecture and processes.
Soumya Srinivasan CPA has an MBA from the University of Adelaide and TOGAF 9 Certification of the The Open Group.
